I have been a radio guy since the mid 70's got my tech and general back in January. Only thing i sorry about is that i didnt do it 40 yrs ago. If you like to chase DX hf is a blast. You can go big as you want. 100 watts and a wire you can work the world. I been using my 11 meter quad with a tuner having a blast lol.

get a good 2 meter radio,1 with POWER. i like my tm 271a kenwood and my new icom ic 2300 h.

    Hello I have a old school 2950 receives great on all modes and transmits great on AM but no transmit on SSB. Does anyone have any idea?
