Need NPC/Swing Mod for Texas Ranger TR 127FS - EPT012911Z

I have tried the diode mods to a few and I use a different resister than what you have listed but it in in the same area you have noted. what you have listed should work just fine.

Hi guys, wanted to re-visit thread. Have been in no hurry to do .... taken a while to get around to using with amp. The mod is precisely the same as for Cobra 29 etc.... just wanted to confirm. > Is J86 near final. The cap is polarized so be sure to place NEG lead towards the rear of radio > then size your resistor to give you the dead key you are desiring. For this Free Spirit, 68 ohms gave me 1.25W ~ In & Out sweet ;)

ROBB I do not care for the resister diode mod myself. that is why I did not post the location I tried years ago. I have tried it on the 148 radios and it gives more swing. only problem is it gives too much audio. it works about like the R264 and R238 mods to the galaxy radios. I was replying to the ssb radio diode install that was posted on the 1st page. I would have to hunt up the 148 which I tried it on the resister by the audio transformer.

R228 for the 148 is what I tried the diode mod in that location.

channel mod like the 959 and others this uses the same pll so just wondering if anyone has tried it.

So last I heard he was doing well and just taking some time away from the forum. Shorty after my comment on this thread another forum member contacted me to say he was well and just stepping back for a little while.

It's noticeable when one of the pioneers in all of this is mia, he's contributed very much here and back in the cbt days as well. Hopefully he'll come back around soon.
