Carl Built

Arlen fucked Xforce up.
And im back in da bushes...
He did pretty much ruin XForce's reputation for being a top notch company to do business with...and he may have had some issues with some of his later builds...(think that was partly due to illness and taking in more orders than he was capable of delivering)...(common problem with allot of builders)

I can't say anything "bad" or "negative" about Arlen...He built me a 1x4 base amp with the DEI 2879's in it, and the thing has worked like a charm for the last 7 or 8 years!....Best part was, it didn't cost me a single dime!!! Arlen donated it to CB Radio Forum for a "give-a-way" contest... think he decided to donate the box because he was switching from the DEI's to the "PP100's" and didn't want to deal with anymore DEI related problems people were having.

sadly it wasn't long after that is when he started running into problems getting orders out...Too bad too...as for as his ability to build quality box's, the one I have is built as good, if not better, than any other make I have had in the past, or present.

Dont know Arlen personally, im sure hes a good guy, im just going by what I see when some of his amps are stripped down. One of my main concerns was how small he was cutting the heatsink during one period. Xforce quality wavered considerably thru the years and its hard to tell what quality you're getting with out a thorough inspection.
Glad you got a good one that youre happy with and didnt wind up with a problem child.

I'd buy a davemade for a variety of reasons. 17 years ago, I would not have said the same thing
Depends, davemade or davemade mobi aka joe? Not too long ago i saw a very unflattering video of one of Joes new "builders" and it wasnt pretty.

The current Dave made comes out of Alabama. That is official Dave authorized production. He's actually friends with Dave. Those boxes are the best pill boxes made nowadays in that arena. There are a multitude of reasons. The number one being that his boxes are the only oned that I see stay together.

Yes Dave Made from Alabama that's where mine came from a couple years back. I believe the mans name is Mark I think. From what I was told, Dave does not build, but Mark is authorized to build his designs.

Joe (Dave Made Mobi) was in a small town south of High Point, NC. I do know some of the Joe made amps come out of Virginia. A friend of mine bought a 1x4 about six months ago from Joe, and it was shipped from Virginia.
