Antenna location causing high SWR

"The Bad", comes from the length you have between you - in the cab, that antenna and the trailer behind it.

IN one of my first posts in the thread, I showed you an Outback antenna - designed as a workaround to those that aren't or ain't able to mount the antenna on a Mirror due to the construction.

So sorry to hear you've lost an antenna on a mirror mount setup - I know how you feel - had one on mine too - can shut you down for a time while you wait for another mount from the shop and as well as the ribbing from the shop manager for "letting whatever that was, get away."

It can make you hesitant to reinstall another one even though the shop put a new mirror on - you don't want to spoil all their fun with you on the matter.

There's got to be a better way, I know there is but what you're working with seems like it'll get caught in the squeeze between the trailer and cab on those backups you might have to swing around another to make the dock.

So, if you're comfortable with that current setup - I cannot guarantee you'll enjoy the results - the antenna will have the trailer working against both of you.
