I Miss....

I Miss... county music songs without a meaning, Songs about Cars, Trucks, Trains, Momma, One Eyed Dogs, Getting Drunk. Example- the Greatest Country Music Song of All Time. Buying something a store and the warranty card says made in the USA. My father would say he misses automobiles that were manufactured in South Bend, Indiana. He would say that was the last American car company.

I still have a handful of vehicles that have them on the floorboard! Had to buy a new one while away from home and I had to explain what the switch was and what it looked like. The guy had obviously never sold one or seen one. He finally let me come around and I was finally able to pick it out. Lucky that they had one in stock!

There used to be a country music radio show called, "On the Interstate." I spent a lot of years sitting up at night in an ambulance with that show on the radio. I used to work for a county wide ambulance service, and the dispatcher moved ambulances around as needed.

I miss A&W's everywhere, old fashion home town diners, old soda/fountain/rx drug stores, almost all vehicles, even cars with a 102 ss whip swinging on them somewhere, laying in the yard in the summertime with NO cares in the world, catching lightening bugs, sleepin' in my great grandmas feather bed, 60's and 70's rock n roll playing on am radios stations, 22 cent a gallon gas, my grandmas homemade blackberry cobbler, homemade ice cream in the summer time, friendly neighbors when everyone got along and visited each other, sitting on the porch swing in the summer time, etc..... A person could just go on and on and on...
