Storm damage Canada

That is about 100 miles to the northeast of me and they took a direct hit. It was a wild night here, lost power around 3:15 am and it just came back shortly after 4:00pm. NOT bad considering. Lots of small twigs and leaves down and a few larger trees around here but overall I have seen worse. Nova Scotia Power said it would be 11pm Tuesday before power was restored but they always give a long lead time in these situations. Currently most crews are staged in the northeastern part of the province and Cape Breton Island which took the brunt of it. Power crews from as far away as Quebec were already here and staged ready to go as soon as it was safe. The storm was a cat. 3 just before landfall but had transitioned to a post tropical storm with hurricane force winds of cat 2 as it passed over Cape Breton and headed towards Prince Edward Island and the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

I saw on the news it's only a cat 2. The closer to the coast the worse it'll be.

Is your tower easy to take down? If you do take it down, I would think you'd need to anchor it some place.

Dont forget dublin tejas
I was in Madrid, Alabama. Imagine my shock to find that no one in Madrid spoke Spanish!

Latest advisory shows Ian rapidly intensifying and projected to hit Category 4 strength. Though the Keys are no longer considered a potential landfall point, we are being advised of possible flooding starting tomorrow with tropical storm force winds. We're dodging the worst of this bullet, but we'll still be feeling some impact.

For those that don't know what a Turon is.
A hybrid cross of tourists and morons that visit popular vacation locations.

I was just going to Google "turons". LOL We have those up here too. Peggy's Cove is a huge tourist attraction and the site of what is likely one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. Every time the sea gets rough they flock to the exposed granite rocks and someone gets washed into the sea. Not everyone makes it back to dry land. The last couple of years however, police have been closing the road during severe storms in an attempt to keep the idiots away.
