Anybody got one of the new chrome 29's yet? If so, are they as good as the others/older 29's? Thinkin about one for the wifes Ranger. Cheap Radio Shack I have now don't have much in the way of noise cancelling on it.

Ronnie :D

Go to ebay and get a used 29 for 50$, then spend 15$ on chrome if you want it.

Cheaper anywho.

I just put echo in one for a friend, I like the blue lights and the black face. The chrome covers I could care less about, and the variable talkback is not great but it works.

Maybe I oughta just stick with the plain one, I like the blue an black, but can take it or leave it on the chrome part. I'm just trying to get something that has a better noise blanker for my wifes ranger pickup. Damn fuel pump noise

I've seen that. I'm gonna get a new radio anyway, so I'll see how good the NB on the 29ltd really is. If I don't see much improvment I'll try what you and he suggested.

Thanx Jeff,

Ronnie :D

I hear the Cobra 25's are the best about rejecting interference from your car.

cat, I have a newer model f-150 gas engine that is terrible on the ignition noise. I have had numbers of radios in there that the nb/anl couldnt cut that damn noise out. I currently have a uniden grant xl and the nb/anl circuitry is the best I have had yet export or cb. It cuts it out just about completely and cant hardly hear that nasty sound anymore.

I have a Sept-2006 Cobra 29 LTD Classic I have no problem's with it. The new Cobra might be a collectors item one day. Buy it if you got the cash. :beer

I'm open to all suggestions guys....... $150 or less

Ronnie :D
how do you have this hooked up???
lighter socket? right to the battery??
whats wrong with a noise filter??

have you tryed any of them???
no radio is going to be filtered for that noise as you see in that link filtered BTW.
I have a ford van and it has 2 noisy fuel pumps..
I have mine right to the battery..with a Noise Suppressor on it
works great...
Don't let anyone fool you into a non noisy radio for that auto
fords are noisy period...
