Hi. I have a President HR2510 with a 5 pin microphone. RX audio is ok with volume at 9:00 am position. When I turn volume past 9:00, audio begin to get distorted and garbled. The more you turn the volume up, the more distorted it gets. What can be the problem ?

Thanks for your suggestion. I want a competition antenna as norrowbanded as posible. I’ve read somewhere that a a narrow banded antenna tends to be more efficient than a wide banded one. Pending for your comments if this info is true.

Hi again Marconi. The link doesn’t open al all. Can you post it again ? By the way, it is not the Larry 150. It looks almost like the one I mentioned, the Sirio 5/8 GPE.

I’ve done a search on Google and found out that this antenna is very similar like a Sirio 5/8 GPE.

Probably it is a CB antenna. For sure can be used on 10 and 11 meters. If there was enough aluminum tubing, maybe 12 meters

That is the idea. I will only use the 102” whip for competition. After competition, I’ll replace the antenna for a base load Striker antenna. I’ll take the paint off to make sure there will be a good ground. I’ll only compete on a four pill category with only one antenna. Of course I won’t...

Today I bought for $ 20 bucks an antenna which I can’t identify. It has 6 sections, measures 19 feet long. Last section is stuck. Probably would be longer if I achieve to to take the last section out. It has 3 radials which are 4 feet long. Any idea of the brand ?

It is a 1999 Montero Sport. Since I don’t want to make a hole on the roof, I plan to use a lip mount on top of the the rear gate. See the picture.

Hi again. Remember, I will just use this antenna for a Key-down competition only. After that, I’ll replace it with a base coil magnetic mount antenna. I was planning to raise a trucker’s K40 antenna as high as possible. ( coil will be around 5 feet high ). Will it work the same ( or better )...

Why not put many watts through a mag mount ? Why you use it if stationary ? I am asking because I plan to go to a key down competition and I was thinking to use a full size 1/4 wave whip, just for the competition. Would it be more efficient than a center load coil antenna ?
