    RM Italy 203p amp

I have been using a RM-203p for 4 years now and its working great, I only drive with 2 1/2 watts at 13 volts and swings to about 100 on the Dosy.

    CB dipoles

I use a G5RV Light (65 ft dipole) along with a Texas Star 350 amp and this works fine at around 100 plus watts. It would be a bit limited running barefoot, conditions would have to be very quiet. The band is busy and to bust the pile-up takes a bit of effort.

    Few questions about dipoles.

I'm using a GR5V light (64ft) by Radiowavz along with a MFJ 969 with good results. see link below: http://www.shop.radiowavz.com/G5RV-Lite-80m-6m-G5RVLITE.htm

    WTB: RF Limited CR-577 Microphone

I have been looking 6 months now, I heard the owner died and the son is taking over. He hasn't returned any of my emails so I'm not sure if they are going to bring the 577 back.

    Looking at CB

Ask around in your area for a good shop! You can drive the radio with lower mic gain and no long conversations until you get it aligned. However if a shop tells you that you don't need this, run!

    Looking at CB

I would check 2 known issues with these radios,1- the bias voltage is turned up to high at factory (should be around 3.8v to give finals a longer life) and 2- Check that the regulators and the finals have enough heat sink compound. Otherwise these are great radios.

Icom IC 7600 or 7410 any inputs comments?

I had the IC-7410 for 2 years now and love it. At the time it out-shined the Kenwood and Yeasu. At this point in time the New Kenwood TS-590SG is the leader for that price range. Too bad you didn't tale advantage of the holiday sales.:sneaky:

    New Sirio Tornado 27

Save up and buy some LMR 240 (or LMR 400@ 1.50/ft), also put a choke at the antenna feed point. I coiled like 7 turns with an eight inch diameter. This worked out for me.(y)

    Help with first HF rig

BEWARE the TS-440 have some issues with the glue used on the main board. Many have dots on the screen due to the glue becoming charged!
