Hard to say just for how long they were burning stuff up... But as of now it is outputting power on each setting, just not as much as the Palomar Skipper 350 is. For now just going to run the Palomar until I can gather enough parts and information to get the Magnum 2000 back in working order.

Maybe next year I can bring back more of my radios from storage including that 23 channel Midland SSB. :) Someone at the time did etch into the chrome above the radio with their callsign, and I always leave stuff like that left on any radios I get. Unique history to each one.

for whatever reason, the modulation from the Midland 40 channel Cybernet radio struggles so hard... I recapped the whole radio and that did nothing for it lol. You have to yell into the mic for it to do anything. 1st radio I am gonna sell off once I get around to it lol.

I set my old 146 GTL to 10 watts PEP on SSB, and I believe just under 2 watts AM deadkey doing no more than 8 watts PEP.

I think pumping 25 watts into the KL-503HD is a bit much. Believe the amp still is a 1 mosfet driving 8. At any rate it probably zapped your Stryker. The Stryker alone being a 100 watt radio, that is more than plenty to just have the radio operate happily by itself and let mother nature do...
