Conditions pretty good so far! Made contacts with Carolinas, W Virginia, Tennessee, Florida and Ontario Canada on 36-39lsb.

Yes..he’s didn’t sound as “bassey” as MMM. Sounded very natural and no background noise. Definitely top notch. He has a video on the processor he uses.

I have a 503 with my McKinley and I get get reports on AM and SSB. Don’t overdrive them and you will be golden.

Nothing on 16lsb, although 37 and 38 were jumping.

First off…nice radio!! I am running a McKinley w/ a 503. With it’s power turned all the way down it will not key the amp. That’s on AM. I keep the radio power up on SSB (12w PEP) But on SSB the amp light won’t come on even when keyed if I don’t modulate it. Once I speak, the amp light comes...

Finally!!!! Made contacts in Alabama, Texas and Georgia on the drive home from work. Was getting nervous that my radio was broken!!!:eek:

Yup! All sideband was dead. Just action on AM.

Crazy right!! Sideband is dismal.
