It's great that there are many other frequencies to go to. I don't mind some of the shenanigans on the radio from time to time, it makes it interesting to me. However, it seems as if the only way some if these guys can get any satisfaction in life is by being a turd on the radio. That's pathetic.
I didn't have a whole lot of radio time today but I did make it to 63 in Ontario, Canada. He was doing a fine job getting to me, but there were a couple of stations that kept me from hearing everything he said. This was my Cobra 148 with a little help. Gotta love great conditions.
I heard somebody calling your numbers 226! I made many contacts up to the northeast this morning and a couple this afternoon to Oregon. I even made it to 427 (I think) in Alberta, Canada.
I'm happy to have some conditions.
It was nice talking with you this morning. For some reason the antenna on my semi does not perform as well as I did on my last truck even though they are the same model. Just running a 4 foot Firestik. Maybe it's time for an upgrade.
You were sounding great on my end as well!
I heard 399 out of Columbia this afternoon while I was driving east of Houston heading towards Louisiana. He talked to someone in Alabama. Then I heard him talking about his horizontal antenna with someone else. I tried in vain to make contact. The conditions dropped out pretty quickly so I...
I took the ole Chevy ii out for a trip in the hill country northwest of San Antonio this morning. It was a pretty fun ride. There are some good windy roads out there and some good places to kick the four barrel in. Even though my 355 is mild it was still plenty fun. Really wanting a 383 under...
I believe you are correct, it was a few months ago. I have been traveling out to Midland and Monhans a little lately, but I have been taking a different way making the trip there. I was through San Angelo about a month ago but it was all quite at about 10 a.m.
That was pretty neat. Thanks to 339 in Kentucky. I have been close to San Angelo a couple times recently. Ballinger is probably about the closest. One day hopefully I will pass through San Angelo and make a direct contact with you.
