well I opened the radio to have a look see since I hear the omniforce shares the same board. the whole back of the radio is one big piece of aluminum so heatsink removal is a no go...ill put it on another radio I have 2 hr2510s and a 2950 rci...they aren't pristine so I might try putting it on...

I have a blue face magnum 257 and just got a killer deal on a rfx-75 and I know the 257hp comes factory with that exact unit...my question is where are instructions to add one of these to a normal 257 radio?

i tried wiring it to my RCI 2990 it will change channel up and down and key the radio but even when unkeyed it will modulate through the speaker.i notice as long as the mic is powered on the vu meter on the mic will swing as you talk even when unkeyed is this normal behavior for this mic? ive...
