the internet. I was wondering if the dimensions can be brought down so it can be made smaller. 2.5' x 4' is just a little big for keeping in my truck. I would like to bring it down to about 1' x 2' or maybe even smaller. Any ideas...
I need some help on this. Is there a list of repeaters that are WIRES capable? I have the FT2800M and it has the wires button. The instructions in the manual say to hold this button down and dial in the code. Unless the repeaters have codes like code-a, code-b and so on, it won't work.
I bought what I thought was a 2 meter 5/8 wave antenna made by workman. It is called the slim line 58. It turns out that it has an SWR of 1.9-2.1:1 and impedance of around 150 ohms at 144 MHz. I tuned the antenna analyzer to 6 meter and it showed an SWR of 1.2-1.5:1 and impedance of 50 ohms...
Would anyone have a way to cut out the static and still pick up incoming talk? The squelch on CB's sux. It just can't tell the difference between talk and noise.
