I no longer own one but if I'm not mistaken, didn't the galaxy 77, 88, and 99v have a 2166 as a driver and 2 2312's as finals?
It's been a while since looking in one of those.
Since moving I've been going through boxes of stored gear, parts and junk to try and clear some stuff out. Some of this stuff hasn't been out since about 12/14 years ago and I forgot it even existed in the arsenal.
I know for me and the fee rigs I have with bipolar transistors, is there still...
On the way home I powered up the quad 6 and could very faintly hear an operator calling cq from west indies and the guy that gets on and whistles (not sure if you folks have heard the whistle guy).
Aside from that, nothing...
Not necessarily, I'm a truck driver and own both anytone and ranger radios. I've got a couple Rangers that do really well on ssb. 2950dx6, 2970n2 and even the little tre-797 do really well in ssb I know because I own and use them ssb.
The X9 for ssb, not so much.
It's so dead here that rf gain all the way up doesn't even show the noise floor.... Very unusual for this radio but I know it's working because I've had local conversations.
Crazy dead
Unfortunately as @Enterprise312ok stated, it's ssb capable but also ssb limited as I found out myself. Mine is in the box brand spanking new and although it's a Purdy one, it'll get sent down the road one day.
It sure is one heck of an audio monster on Am though!
Good morning and all you fine people of wwdx have a great day of DX.
For 828 there's no radio time today so you folks will have to pick up my slack lol.
My youngest daughters have a valet recital and dad couldn't miss that for the world even though I don't understand much of it. Daughters...
I actually tried the search and it wasn't as easy to find as I'd thought so here's a shortcut for you.

Welcome to the forum.
The search bar at the top right hand corner will yield exactly what you're looking for.
I know because I posted the info with photos.
30mph is nothing where I live, that antenna wouldn't make it long here either. Surprisingly the one I thought wouldn't survive has and it's a sigma 5/8 silver rod. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't own it. I've lost maco v58, workman 58, tram 1498 and others in panhandle winds.
Like mentioned...
Hey that 3 hour nap is enough to celebrate alone! I wish I could make enough time in a day just to sit down and relax for more than a couple minutes.
Dx on the commute home was extremely noisy, but still managed to make several east coast contacts. Delaware, North Carolina, Pennsylvania just...
Conditions have not been the greatest here this week. A few contacts a day but it's been rough. It might be that time of the year where it starts dropping out on us I'm afraid.
In the meantime I'm going to try the @Brother DXer 1700-1900 cst time slot and see how that works.
I will when I'm back to it again. In the meantime though, this picture here shows how the wires are through the meter housing. What they did was drill two small holes and ran the wires through it and tinned the ends as seen below where the LED's are attached. The wiring behind the scenes I will...
