My friend is planning a radio shack addition on the back of his house and was wondering if steel studs could be inferior to wood. Could they pickup and radiate stray RF etc. (I tried to google it, but internet searches are increasingly lacking these days unless one wants to buy something.)

Anybody know of any way to correct side band distortion of close stations in the Lincoln II+? I'm dead on frequency, and far stations sound great. Close stations just sound distorted and turning the gain down doesn't seem to change anything.
