The radio comes alive with a power mic . The stock 198 won’t cut it!!
There's a couple of either pads or jumpers on the channel pcb if I remember correctly.Does anyone know how to do the frequency conversion on this rci x9? Im gonna buy one for the heck of it but i cant find the conversion info anywhere
Hopefully he'll get it squared away, it appeared he does good work. The alignment, I expected and had no problem with that. Small quirks sometimes just happen in this hobby. The frustration comes when the high priced radio needs repaired before it can even be used..... When it comes back, I may or may not keep it.Had to send mine to Mr. Holland for repair After i got it from Wallcott never again...
My opinion - it's chasing watts.Notice these already needing to be sent out for repairs not very old and already letting the smoke out!
It seems they (ranger) are no longer providing info on the newest rangers.Just bought one from Chris Holland at Superior CB. The 198 it comes with is unable to modulate the radio properly. But in a noisy environment, it is the best option I am sure. I have been running an Astatic 636L all day on it.
Does anyone know of a schematic for this radio? Is it like the 2950cd?
