What benefits if any would you gain by adding a 1:1 balun at the feed point of a IMax2000
this antenna does not have the ground plain kit

I have a nice 1:1 balun by Balun Designs i could use

any input ??

It would/should help, if not eliminate, any TVI or any other device interference you are causing in your house when you transmit. If you're not bleeding in on anything in the house as it is, then it wouldn't accomplish anything by adding it. Feedpoint baluns like this are intended to prevent feedline radiation. Sometimes feedline radiation occurs, sometimes it doesn't. Each installation performs differently.

Good luck
