I am adding a switch and a knob on my radio for a project, whats the best way to mount knobs and switches into a case?

I was just going to use a dremel and "cut out" the shape for the switch and knob but is there a better way to do this?

Its just my old junk test radio I use to yak at the locals, a Roberts RCB 11, I am adding a variable talkback which that can be turned off or on, just to see what I sound like on the air without having to carry a hand held to use as a monitor.
