I use the same design only mine is a 20 meter rotatable dipole. Works good!!
 
What do you mean HUH? His antenna is for 40 meters mine is for 20 meters. I originally
started with a wire antenna and then decided to build a aluminum dipole. I fed mine with a 1:1 balun. It worked better than just the inverted v wire dipole. I like the fact that I can rotate it around and get a better signal. Hopefully in the future I would like to have a 5 element 20 meter beam like Carl, You know "The voice of Canada" or so he says. It is difficult to decide what antennas I actually have room for. I only have 50ft by 50ft. If I could do it all with one boom I would go with a multiband quad. I want something better than a Carolina Windom or a G5RV. Of course I love experimenting with antenna designs. I would like to build a TaK-Tenna and I am also interested in building a 4 element round wire quad for 20 meters.
