Had FL banging in here on the West Coast. Made several 20 over 9 S-unit QSO's with them. As skip began to fade, I heard Unit 399 out of Colombia (forum member here) call for me. Had a brief but solid contact with him and affirmed contact before the skip faded out.

Nothing on 15m; I've been watching/listening to it here - lately. One of the locals made it to Italy the other day @ 5/9 . . .

Best dx in a long time the past two days. Talked to Stuttgart, Germany (Joe RG0653) and Barcelona, Spain (Andres) about 9am this morning. About noon, hooked up with LOCAL BOY and 1212 out of the Islands. Heard World Radio 11 Robb talking to a station in Florida, and called him after they finished up. Robb, you were 3 to 5 in Colombia, and I wish we could have talked longer. But whenever I say that I'm in S. America, the pileup begins and the east coast stations cover up everything from the west side. Maybe next time we can qsy to another frequency. I logged 11 diffferent states, Canada, British Colombia, and the two European contacts today. All on 38 lsb. Hope the skip slows down a little so I can get some work done here on the farm.

Talked to some fella in isabella, Puerto Rico (sp?) this afternoon on 27.560 USB
His name was Kelly an station # was 5 I think he said. Anyway, he was booming into the Missouri Ozarks like he was right here.

Talked to 4040, 0044, 8577, 3435, 0357, 299 and 001 all in California today on 27.555 usb. For some reason Cali is the only skip I'm hearing today.

It seems skip has stopped out here for now I have heard nothing for 2 days now. I hope it picks up soon as this is just too quiet for me. been flipping between 38lsb and 27.555usb. Even the am channels are quiet here around Chicago's southside.

    I spoke too soon!

I posted earlier about not hearing anyone as far as skip. Well I left my radio on by accident on 38 LSB and was on my computer playing and heard something break the squelch so I turned down the squelch and tried a dx call. I got World Radio Chicago 56 who is a distant local to me and while talking to him heard something else so I called a dx again and made contact with New Zealand 4169 talked for about 30 seconds and then let 56 have a go at it He talked for about another 30 to 45 seconds and 4169 was gone. This is now my farthest DX. and was done with no amp on as it is disconnected at the moment.(y)

    Great contact, Bamm Bamm!

I made contact with Venice, Italy today on 39LSB using my World Radio call, and recorded it.

WR183 Homer and KP297 Elias What a blast!
