I have always simply wiped it off with one rag and buffed the metal with another. Any that I have encountered was still pasty, maybe a bit gummed, but it still wiped off clean. You do not have to have things super clean if you are simply going to reapply noalox anyway.

Every time I look at the title of this thread I read it as "How to remove maalox", and I'm wondering why anybody would use THAT stuff on an antenna... :D

A common household product that will also work is isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.

Best way to clean a bong is to scrape the oil from it then smoke it. (y)(y)

Any petroleum-based product will work against another - if it is 'lighter'.
    A little gasoline would work.
    Or white gas ('camping fuel').
    I'd use either one.
