Home January New Year's Giveaway: 3 Retevis Ailunce HA1UV Radios!

At the time of this posting, this radio is so new, it's not even for sale yet! To celebrate 2025, Retevis is giving away THREE HA1UV radios. These are VHF/UHF handhelds, which are targeted toward beginners, but have many use cases. I have been testing one for months; it is based largely on the HA1G, but made for the ham bands.

This contest will have its own set of rules, different than the previous giveaways:

  • Any worldwidedx.com member may enter. To enter, reply once to this thread that you understand the rules and wish to enter the drawing.
  • Premium members will receive 2 entries into the drawing; non-premium members will receive 1 entry. If you are interested in supporting the site by becoming a premium member, information is at: https://www.worldwidedx.com/account/upgrades
  • Three winners will be chosen at random by Microsoft CoPilot at the end of January.
  • By participating in this contest, you are agreeing to post a written review of the product with photos on this website. This does not have to be a lengthy post, but we want your opinion on the product!
  • If you do socials (facebook, instagram, tiktok, truthsocial, X), please post that you won this radio. A link will be forthcoming. You can also text/email all of your ham radio friends! Please also reference worldwidedx.com in some way to let people know where you got the radio. An example is, "If you'd like to win a free radio, click here for details" (linking to this site section)
  • Any winner who is not a premium member agrees to pay $5 via PayPal for shipping. (Can't beat that shipping price!)
  • The winner has 30 days to post their review article or risk being invoiced for the current sales price of the radio on Amazon.
That's it! Once the links to the product on Amazon are ready, this post will be edited with linking instructions. You don't have to be a licensed ham to win, but it might help to review the radio. Or, maybe this will encourage you to get your license!

FYI: I bought a set of Retevis RB37 to use at work, one quit the third day when it fell of my belt. Then, bought a set of Retevis RB48P, heavy duty and waterproof, and they did the same thing, about the second day one fell off my belt and quit modulating. They do have good customer support and give fast refunds, I will give them that.

Awesome, congratulations! Here is an email that I sent to Tim. Tnx agn, Tim.

Hi agn, Tim:

I just wanted to thank you for your review of the Retevis Ailunce HS4 10m transceiver. I picked one up on sale for $177 and it serves my needs to a tee. I moved my car, with the FT-891/ALS-500M installed, to our FL QTH So I needed a simple rig that I could toss in a rental or our daughter's SUV along with a mag-mount antenna on our swings back to NY.

With just 25 W or so, I've been having a ball. Nothing but unsolicited compliments on the audio (K-Po amplified mic) and the NR feature works pretty darn well. Mind you, my ears are used to my Elecraft K2, FTDX10, and FTDX101MP. Here's a shot of it in a rig-bag hanging from the headrest. (The "kids" do the driving now, hihi.)

Looking forward to the K4HD, but at a projected $8K+, I think I'll just stick with my FTDX101MP. I love your comments on the reflector, btw. Take care es...
