Looking a 27 mhz crystal

webbsjewell,i have a few websites that might help, let me know and i will post link. I'm not sure which crystal you would need?
Maybe one of our geru techs will read this and give more help.

Hmm, sounds like the same crystal frequencies found in the FT-101ZD, and FT-901.

26.0-26.5 use a 40.4875 MHz crystal
26.5-27 use 40.9875
27.0-27.5 use 41.4875
27.5-28 use 41.9875

I'm not completely sure, but I think the frequency display will show the correct frequency without having to mod the counter display separately. You may be stuck with using a "point five" band position for 26.5 and 27.5, and a "point zero" band for 26.0 or 27.0. Might not read correctly otherwise. I have no first-hand experience with this model.

Just decide which 10-meter segment you can live without, and install the new crystal in place of the stock crystal for that segment.

The slug for that crystal, and for the VCO slug for that band may have to be trimmed to match the new band.

Good luck and 73

Thanks for all the help

Thank you all Bob85 got the info for me but thanks to all of you for taking time to try to help. It is greatly appreciated.

WebbsJewel and SlingBlade have been gone for a very long time.
Sling used to build some very nice Amps and made big coil and Comp antennas for the Shoot Out crowd

Years of working with lead solder, no safety precautions, no ventilation, all resulted in Sling getting severe lead poisoning.
WebbsJewel was around after that for a time, but I lost contact with her years ago.
She was also active during the CDX contests many years ago.
They were good people.
I think the info that Chris, (Nomad) posted is valid.
