Hello all I have a question reguarding my mobile antenna. I have a 5/8 wave maxrad permanetly mounted on the roof of my car for 2 meters. Works great but I noticed today that the ball on the tip of the whip fell off. I was wonderin if I will see any difference in the recieve of the antenna? Any input would be great.

Mobile antenna Ball?

Unless you are running extremely high power in a very humid, foggy environment you won't see any difference in TX performance either. The biggest problem you now have is running the risk of poking an eye out.
