no 11-mtr. on icom 740!?

well i got the 740,for a song($130),at the auction the other

day. it already had the tx/rx expansion done. sad thing is

she still won't reach the 11-mtr band! not only that it doesn't

have AM either.that's no big deal as i prefer SSB operation

anyway.it has an optional FM board that can be installed

but it didn't come w/it.also,for SSB it has normal and reverse

instead of upper and lower.i am assuming that normal=USB

and reverse=LSB?! it has two empty locations on the band selector switch. i wish someone knew how to add a crystal

or whatever to one of these to achieve 11-mtr operation?

anyone who has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it!

also had no luck in getting a manual or stock mic at the

dayton hamvention.i'll just have to get it via the internet.
