Congrats in the ticket. You will have more fun than 11 meters, No Noise makers, foul language, lousy sounding rigs and you will find out that you can talk to people all over the world with a 100 watt rig. I have 2 amps, and rarely turn them on. Now go for your General and make some contacts.
    Side note:
Where is the calling frequency for Club members?
Would me kinda nice to have some.

made a total of 9 contacts today. I'd say that's a job well done. lucky for me there was contesting so it was easy to get a bunch. now to have a real conversation with some one.

ok now what. I have made contacts but it only seems like i can hit people contesting and cant seem to get a conversation started.

I did manage to hit brazil, but again contesting.

doesn't anyone get up here just to talk? and meet people?

So I am going to sit on 28.3500 for a while and cq my butt off.

Contesters are usually a shy and introverted bunch. Most contesters I know personally ain't been laid for some time.

I'll get flamed, but I absolutely see no reason for these lame contests. Hell, it seems they just pull a thousand reasons outta their asses for an excuse to make one a contest.

Don't worry, you'll find a bunch of ragchewers around.

I hope I find some chatty people because "what number am I?" and "thanks for the contact bye" are not very fullfilling.
