I bought the President George when they first came out. Processor kept locking up, and then one day it just didn't turn on. No local tech or I could find the fix..or parts.

    Looks like AM/FM only.

A radio named after a president with Alzheimers? Does it forget what frequency it was set to if you turn it off?

Do you need cue cards to make it talk?

    Couldn't resist.

Same for me. What the heck am I going to do with a 10/12m rig with no SSB? That is essentially a waste of parts. Generally I tend to write people off when I see that they have an export radio that is not intended for CB use and has no CW or SSB but is 10/12m.......I do the same thing if I see a radio or amp sporting blue LED's!

I have never seen a 10/12m AM/FM only radio that was owning! Since you already have it might as well use it. I do have 2 AM only CB radio's that where NOS and insanely cheap. I had a hard time buying them because they do not have SSB.

A 10/12m rig with no SSB and no CW is like a new car with no wheels or no steering wheel!

FM in the USA is worthless on 10/11/12m.....LOL

If someone wants AM only buy a CB not a POS rice box!
