LSB 16 - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8th and SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9th

It looks like enough of us are committed to trying to revive LSB 16. Let's commit to making the effort over the week-end covering Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th.

Start making your DX call-outs at noon eastern each day. That'll give the folks out west time to wake up. I'd encourage everyone to then make their DX calls every hour on the hour. That coordination should help improve the chances of making contacts. Now, we just need Mother Nature to do her part.

Mark your calendars!

This bump is just a friendly reminder for those that are interested in trying to bring some life back to LSB 16 and take some of the pressure off of LSB 38. We'll start our DX efforts at noon eastern time on Saturday, October 8th and continue them on the hour. We'll try the same schedule on Sunday, October 9th.

Let's hope Mother Nature does her part to help the cause.

  • @ BJ radionut:
Ham radio operators (VHF/UHF) should pay attention to enhanced radio propagation paths throughout the middle latitudes and equatorial region, a common occurrence following such events. :coffee: (y)
  • @ BJ radionut:
Had "Aurora" propagation on CW/SSB on 6m last evening. (300-700m range here) The 2m guys had lots of Ducting/TROPO between the East Coast and Gulf Coast op's, even early today.
