Hello QRN:

Glad to hear you have the Fiberglass Rod Insulator issue handled.

www.cushcraft.com/support/pdf/a3s.pdf

Sometimes when talking to outfits you can get the exact wrong person to talk to. Sorry to hear that.

I stock 1 inch OD (Outer Diameter) Fiberglass Rod, 24 inches long. Which is real close to the strength of steel. I use this Fiberglass rod as a insulator / mount for my Interceptor 10K Antenna.

So know you have a second source. I am thinking the price would be around 12 to 13 dollars plus shipping. Good luck with your antenna repair.

Sorry to say this but that's big buisness and just do like we do in the United States of America and buy Canadian.

You're probably dealing with a trained monkey at crustycraft so take it for what it's worth.

I just got word back from tech support at Cushcraft regarding the center insulator for my A3 tribander that was broken in the storm the other day. They tell me the price is $34.70 plus $7.00 shipping.OK that is fine even with the exchange rate I can live with that. Here's the kicker;they will only ship to a USA address and even suggested that I would have to have a friend or relative receive it and then forward it to me.What the he11 is up with that??<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:"> It is only a friggin piece of fiberglass tubing.Maybe it is used on an antenna used by the military also and they don't want to export "secret" components.I like Cushcraft antennas and own several but this has me thinking differently.Hello M² ? Force 12 ? Get the message Cushcraft? I guess I'll try Honest Bob Morton at Maple Leaf Communications in Ontario.I've done business with him before with excellant results and I think he had some fiberglass rods.
