I just bought a Yaesu VX-8R and had a xmit mod done. While playing with the unit, I got so lost in the functions, I wound up doing a Microprocessor reset. After I did it, I wondered if doing so "un-did" the mod. Would anyone know if doing the reset would un-do the mod? Please advise. Thanks!

Probably did not undo the mod, I've reset mine a few times already. If it is the same mod the rest of us did, moleculo's howto,

Push the "Band" key to change bands, then hit Func key and use the turny knob to quickly cycle through frequencies. If you are able to TX on that frequency you will see your TX power icon on the screen, if not you won't see it.

TX w/ mod
50 - 54 MHz
144 - 148 MHz
148 - 174 MHz MARS/CAP Mod only
222 - 225 MHz USA version only
430 - 440 MHz
440 - 470 MHz MARS/CAP Mod only. FRS/GMRS freq range

Thanks for the quick reply. The mod was done for me (I paid for it), so I don't know which kind of mod was done, or by whom. All I know that is that it was for the 440 - 470 Mhz range. I'll give it a try today and let you know. Thanks.
