The good old days are gone but not forgotten.
As a kid, my father would take me to the hardware store. We would look through all the drawers of nuts, bolts and screws. We could easily spend half a day in there, discussing what the different fasteners were used for. Sometimes we would have to...
Thank You everyone for your input, this has certainly given me a lot to think about. I hate to ask for help just to leave everyone hanging, but it will be several weeks before I can get back to this. And I am sure I have other threads with no conclusion too. Bench time for me is hard to get now...
Thanks for the offer. I am eager to get this set up, but I don't have much time to actually sit down and work with it yet. I will let you know what I find.

Just move a jumper inside to the next set of pins for 11 meter. Hold down both channel buttons on mic, and the frequency scrolls by on the channel display.
The Radiodity QT40 is the same exact radio and comes with a warranty. Often goes on sale, I have one as a backup. Open the cover and move a jumper for 11 meters.

Sixty feet to the tip or not more than twenty feet above a building or tree that it is mounted to. Probably need a permit in some areas.
