I don't believe the 102 will x-mit on 11 meters. Checked QRZ and there is no mod listed. A lot of the older radios, tube-type especially, can not be modified without extensive work. Sometimes all you need to do though is replace a crystal to pull the 10m section down 1MHz. Not sure how to go about it myself so I won't even try to explain it.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
