both peak and rms meters Ranger RCI-2970N2 Tune-up Report - YouTube and i agree you dont run anything balls to the wall all the time that's why you have a variable power and if you want to be extra careful you put a switch on the amp so your not running it all the time
imo i think the 11 meters should be allowed to run the same power as hams use after all the 11 meters was not always a free band and i mean really why does it matter so much as to what a cber runs as power lets say you take a dirty box and run it on ham bands its gonna splatter just as bad as if...
yeah i got it brand new from coppers about a year and a half ago before they did the display change and i asked around after i sold it to see if it was a bad batch or what and was told it was i really want to get another one or the RCI FFB
yeah im not sure what it was but the swr is 1.1 on chan 1 and 1.3 on chan 40 8 gauge going straight to the battery i had it in my old ford ltd and in my s10 same issue so it was inside the radio i know that
i had a 2970n2 and it worked fine for a couple weeks but then the receive would drop after i would unkey it i could still hear people but it was like someone turned the volume down and a relay was staying on but if i would just barley touch the power or ground coming from the back of the radio...
no different than if you had an amp that wasn't built into the radio and you can put a switch into the 2970n2 to shut the amp off so your not running it hard all the time
if you got one to do 400w it wouldn't last long the RCI-69FFB4 after a tune will do 425w again at bellscb and the guy even puts up a vid on youtube of the radio after he tunes it to show you what it does on a scope and a bird here is another copy past of this radio Transmitter
RF Power...
if you go to Bells CB Radio he makes them do 250w here is a copy past from the website
RF Power Output
