Mars mods Hello all. I don't know much about "MARS" and the mods hence the question. Are any of the MARS frequencies located between 230- 350 I don't want to know exact frequencies just if there are what is rx performance like? I had a VX8 UK version and it was really deaf. Regards

Still curious as to why the DJ-G7 needs modifying for wideband rx. The specs clearly state that is already state it is wideband for rx. I think the mod is mucking up the sensitivity of the wideband rx. What say anybody? Chas GM4WIE

i am returning mine. It has low rx audio.The TX is ok but the wideband rx is a bit of a joke. The VX3 or 6 has much better specs. I used to listen to the milair frequencies between 230- 350 mhz am on the VX3/6 and the the pr-progged sw broadcasts on the vx3 not on the vx 8 needs to go back for...

can the vx8 rx wideband properly? I recently received the new Alinco H/H I was surprised to find that to have wideband rx it has to be modded. The specs state it covers 500kcs "old fashioned" to 1.5gigs. The shop modded it but it cannot rx between 230-380 mhz am. So back it went. Am considering...
