I just picked up a Kicker brand 125 amp in a garage sale. I'm wondering what class it is and what it's out put should be.
I tried to find info on it but with the name Kicker, all I kept getting was car stereo stuff of the general use of the name kicker (amp slang)..
Looks like a good...
I just picked up a General Lee (cheap). It has a clicking sound. It happens on both car and power supply power. When it does stop (briefly), the TX/RX is good. I've gently wiggled all the external and internal wires, with no change... What could it be?
Thanks to all.
What I gather is the if you reduce R117, both BRT and DIM would be reduced equally. If R115 is reduced, only the DIM is reduced.
I did the R115. It works great for the dim setting!!
Well, I used a 1/2 watt 3.3 ohm resistor. It worked pretty good. I swapped it for a 4.7 ohm, it worked even better!
Now I need to test drive it in the car for a while.. It may need a bit more..
Thank you for your input guys!
Thanks, I'll try that.
What I used is a blue ziploc container lid. I cut it down and hot glued it to the inside of the bezel. Looks and works great. The blue displays are just soo darn bright..
I have a Cobra 29 NHST. I upgraded to UV LED's and a blue display. The display is way too bright on the dim setting. How do I dim it down into the realm of reason?? Is there a resistor I can change?
