Glad you're having good luck with the modifications. You will have just as good of results without the mosfet receiver. Obviously the mosfet still had a noise issue because boomer had the same complaint as some of those that didn't have it.
The SR-490 and new SR-440 radios will have these...
Actually DTB only posted part of the modification. The other part consists of a capacitor/resistor modification. I'll get the picture uploaded shortly.
Below is a link that will show the location of R35. This trick will work on other radios with similar circuit boards.

I can honestly say I'm not sure what the mosfet receiver modification consists of and I've never seen or used one. If you'd like to send your radio in for warranty repair please email or call us for an RA number.
We're having some problems with our forum. Our email address and telephone number work just fine, as does our online RA request form. We have sold shops the M1104 in the past for $8, that's all they cost us.
