    I made contact with gabby girl in portland oregon on a barefoot cobra 29. Believe it or not!!!! I was on top the ridge in the smoky hills.

    well i am not exactly sure how they open the recieve up but i am going on what my local cb shop told me.

    I had a cherokee 1000 back in the spring and took it to a shop and he told me there is not much you can do to those radios. He said the max you can get is about 10 to 15 watts out of it, as far as receive now you can open that all the way up.

    I would have to agree the wilson antenna is the way to go. I currently run a wilson 1000 trunk mount and i love it.
