    It's strange these SS JA radios sound more like the black face Jackson, then the silver. Black face had 6 bands and silver had 5? Or is that reverse? I wish they would've put these on the ranger website as "refurb old stock" with a price around $80-$100.

    Hello everyone great thread. I have a question about the Palomar 4500. I bought the one with 4 - 2SC2290. What is a good deadkey to start with on the linear on AM? Running on ssb, do I just hook it up and switch to ssb/cw? What kinda watts should I be looking for? Thank you in advance...
