Can you tell me what your messurements were on the vertical gamma match?I just picked one of these antennas up at a Ham Fest for $10.It's not in the best of shape.I plan on rebuilding it with your specs.
I have 400 feet of 75 ohm coax.Looks like rg8.Has solid copper center wire, foam insulation, alumn.foil sheild and braided alumn.sheild.The company that made the coax is Comscope. That's all that is written on the wire.No model or part number. It has some kind of sticky sealer stuff running through...
Thank you so much.I was beating my brains out trying to figure it out.Now I need to know where the dup should be set.I'm not the brightest star in the sky but i'm still a star out there.LOL
How do I set the high power(50 watts) out put on this radio?I looked at the manual on the internet and found out how to set the 3 low power setting but didn't see anything for the 50 watts.
I see none of you guys can come up with the answer. All you wanted to know is what kind of antenna I have.It seem a lot of guys come out here and reply to a post just to hear themselves talk.So I made a few calls to a couple Hamm operators and got my answer.Enjoy your CB radios.
I'm running a 5/8 wave Alumn..I was wondering if the sheet metal roof could act as a groundplane.I live on the second floor. The antenna is between 8 and 9 feet off the roof. The base of the antenna is 27 feet off the ground. It has no groundplane kit on it.
