AM is under modulated, needs adjustment, SSB ALC needs to be adjusted, FM deviation … At least on my radio is like you have to scream at it. I’ve seen a few videos where the radio needs adjustments on AM and FM..
Not by software, Some people who knows how to do it, but can’t share how to do it yet confirmed that to enter the engineering menu is by a combination of Mic buttons, ptt and the switches on the radio have a certain position… I’m just waiting to see if someone posts how to do it… The radio...
Yup, I received my radio Saturday, the radio looks good for what it is, but there are definitely some settings I would really like to change on FM and SSB and the only way to do that is by getting into the service menu. I’m going to keep on looking around and see what I can find.

How do you get to the engineering menu on this radio? I know some are going to answer my question with another question like (why you want to do that?)
To my understanding the AM low power variable W1 is shared with FM. On FM I’m able to lower the dead key to 1W … W10 and w501 are AM modulation.. thanks for the reply. I’m still trying to figure this out
I recently got a stryker 955 with an issue that only happens when selected to AM. With the RF power all the way closed the radio is showing 14w and that's with the am low pwr variable (w1)set to minimum. on all other modes it works fine and I'm able to control the output like its supposed to...
Hello to all in the forum, I need some help with a Cobra 2000 I just got. on SSB it receives fine but on AM the receive is really low, I already checked the d1, d2, d21 and d22 as well as tr14, and they are all good. Any help will be appreciated

i marked it red where i touched the diode to with the flat tip. lke i daid before the radio is stuck on a freq. and even if i try to change it it wont. Also i notice its not transmitting now on ssb... Audio problem is fixed now i can TX, and RX on AM ... i already changed the mb3756 that is...
the audio problem is fixed c179 fixed it.....now the freq. problem still there... im going o take a pic. and post it.. because that diode is under the board and has no letter or num. and on of the legs of the diode goes to the MB IC... its is locked to that freq. and when i transmit it transmits...
im going to check on those ... But now i do have another issue on which it was my fault... by accident i touched a diode that its close to mb3756 and my freq counter got stuck on 27.531.2 and doesnt matter what i do it doesnt change freq. i replaced the mb3756 but it's still the same... any...
so i changed the audio IC and now i do get some receive and transmit audio but it is very low.. at one time it started to work fine but little by little the audio started to go lower and lower it did it twice .. and now i just get low audio.
