RF likes the path of least resistance. Find the antenna with the
least resistance, put it up, and TALK. Coils, wires, widgets, etc..all lead to resistance.
Straight and tall is best.

Both the MERLIN and the COLOSSAL will work well for you. I hear the 10K is good as well, but don't know about the power handling etc.
