My mistake. I ment a 10' mast ON TOP of a 20' house. I'm limited by power lines, cable TV and phone lines to put up a tower. Am I to assume that we are talking FEET ABOVE GROUND and not FEET ABOVE STRUCTURE? I'd like to mount the Antron without guy wires. My "mast" is 2" fence rail.

When talking about height, it that to the BASE of the antenna or the TIP? Would a 10' mast on a 20' high house be ok for an A99? D

I have this same radio. I use a Turner +2. It works fine as long as you don't over power the audio. I turn the mic up to 20 and the radio mic gain control at 9 o clock. It rocks. D

Well I double checked everything I could think of and went for a ride in the mobile while SWMBO talked on the Galaxy with the Turner +2 after a few minor adjustments I think it sounds fine. A little bit "tinny" but what I expected. At least I no longer sound "off frequency" Thanks again.

That is just what I was looking for!! Thank you. The radio checks I've been getting on my Galaxy DX2547 with this mic say it sounds like I'm off frequency. Would over modulation cause this effect? D
