    I just got my radio back from being a tuned up and he was saying that the finals are over volted from the factory. They are rated for 3.75 to 4 volts and they are being run at 5+ volts.

    I just did mine and it works great, I am glad I found this post al567. I think it was made in 2014 the sn starts with 480144 and it doesnt have a beep off option.

    Ya I peeled befor I shipped it out to be peaked and tuned. I think it got scratched up in during shipping. Stupid me, I just got it back today too.

    Thank you for this post, i just got a 980 and it has a few scratches on the screen and its driving me nuts. I have just ordered some from Amazon. I hope it works for me:
