BUS Antenna placement

Hey guys a few questions i have a 35 foot bus aluminum skinned and i have a siro 5000 mobile antenna where do i put it ..in the middle on the roof puck mount ? gutter mount / mirror / but its got a long stringer on it but i thought the coil needs to be above the bus or do i just need a short...
