Switch to Wilson Silver tips.........I did and my '05 Granite "Dump Bucket" has lost almost all of that D*M noise.....
We did wire the truck ourselves with upgraded coax ( our shop wires all our trucks :wink: )....My Magnum S-3 now can "Hear' that "pin" drop with very 'lil...

Any of the "Blue light " radios draw attention at the "Shops"...I had tx problems with my S-3 and brought it to the "local shop" ( Berubes :wink: ...Mr Connex )....

Can you "hard mount" it??
Two of our "Petercar" 379 tractors have Wilson 2000's directly mounted to the cab roof (the drivers got tired of tree limbs :wink: :) )......And if anything they gained in both rx/dx.....We tried mounting on headache racks but "strobe" light make too...
Thanks for the "Bad news" :wink: :wink: .....I prepared him for that.......Good thing is he purchased the radio from Bobs......They are working on warranty details ...So maybe not a big $$ sting after all.

I think we have our 1st Magnum problem...but it is a big one :shock: ....
Driver has no problem hearing us on his S-9..but when trying to talk we can't hear him....change mikes and still same problem......Goes over his set-up at break time and finds passenger side spring and Wilson 2000 have...

I do like my 3' Silver tips..they tune easy and only run 2nd to my Wilson 2000's (until a tree snaps one of them....2000's are to much $$$ :wink: :( to donate to an oak tree :roll: :roll: ).....I might lose the black cap off the top but these things never give up...
The easiest "Handle" to have......."Snoope" arrived care of a gift from my daughter :D :D ; a stuffed Snoopy to ride in my tractor cab...........Florida "Boys" I ran with actually got tired of calling me "Dam Yankee".....noticed the "Dog" on the dash .....The rest is as they say ...history...

Unless that radio is "Kicking" some serious POWA.no..and even then I don't know how.....My 2002 Tacoma has had my Superstar 3900GHP and both Unidens in it with no problem......And on my sons '93 4-runna only problem we have is keeping antennas on it :wink: :roll: :roll: :roll...
