i just bought one today at a pawn shop, and i was wondering where i could find the manual to this radio? i know nothing about this radio, and im wanting to take it somewhere and have it looked at, and im just wondering what kind of mods should i do to it as far as talking and recieving?

what do i need to do mods on a radio... i am an amature and dont really have a clue what im doing and dont know of any cb shops in my area...

while im thinkin about it, i have another cobra 29 nw st wx that i think is fried..... it doesnt work half as good as my 29 ltd but when i transmit the meter swings over to the right into the red, and non of my antennas will read past 3 on the swr

okay thanks a bunch! i went ahead and bought a wilson 2000 and im prob gonna put it on my mirror and side of the toolbox...... but what about the swr meter on my cobra 29 and tuning.....hows all that?

okay........im not gonna lie, i have no clue what im doin here...........the swr meter im using is the one on the radio....would a 5 watt dummy load work?

okay, i take that back, i checked my swr's again today and they are above 3................i dont know what happened...

i just bought a cobra 29 ltd chrome, and 2 4ft antennas and run them cophased on my mirrors and my swr with out tuning each indidual one is about 1.2 on 20...is this okay or do i have to tune each one seperatly

im actually thinkin about doing that myself.....its a really really trick job, radioshack should be the best place to look

i have it mounted on my roof of my truck....suprisingly its still there....i used to have it under the steering column to the right of it....but my truck is a 91 f250...so its a little roomier for a radio

ok. well what about the single wilson on the top. would the two on my mirrors interfere?

well, on my headache rack i have a mirror mount bolted to it, and im gonna swap it for a dual antenna mount for my cb and scanner, and i was gonna put a single wilson or k40 and a firestick scanner antenna and use that as my main, and keep the 2 other antennas mounted on my mirror for extras...

ive heard wilson isnt all that great, cuz of alot of power loss. but on their website they say that it will out perform the antenna it replaces, and i dont think anything could really beat the antenna i have right now. but as for k40, i dont know much about them but i think im gonna go with...

im just curious, cuz i just run stock radios and i recieve from abot 25 miles on a good day on my 29 wx nw st. on the Powerband RFX 75, how does that work? does it wire up on the inside?
