ok king i will be lisening on the base, still dont have the mobile up yet. still working on antenna and i wanted to get my 2950 checked out before running it on the tx star 250. check out my web site and i have posted some pics of my current antenna idea, and if you have input let me know. thanks....

I have ordered the study manual, but it will be around spring time before i actually get my ticket, i will be studying for a promotion at work and once i pass the written I'll be on a 90day hands on training. But i do want my ticket, dont know alot about ham at all but i'll figure it out.

here is my secret to success in passing the test
100% legally
read the manual 2 to 3 weeks
then
go to www.QRZ.com
scrool down on left and click on practice tests
start taking tech test
when you get continued scores in mid 80's
you are ready for test
then via QRZ site you can find closest place to take test ASAP
get at least 20-30 practice tests in the 80's
this way makes it supper easy to pass test
i studied a week the book
a week on practice tests
then 40 mins before test took 2 pratice tests to show a friend
KC2MMC what he needed to know(who tried taking test and failed test 3 times....via his studying/learning from the book)
we took test and both passed
end of story LOL
