Hey

I read (in CQ i think) that 200 Meters will be made available for ham
but at i think was 1 watt ERP and as secondary user to the band

LOL, is that 1500 on my AM dial?

Yessir it is!

I'm wondering if they meant 2000m which is 150 KHz rounded off. There has been a push to make 137 KHz a ham band and it is available in a handfull of countries. I wish they would make the 160-190 KHz "lowfer" band a ham band. It is available in Canada and the USA for experimenters and is license free with an erp of 1 watt.It is refered to as the 1750m band.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
