Does anyone know if this Monitor scope is usable to monitor modulation on 10 and 11 Meters?

Okay, I guess I don't know what I'm doing at all. I thought these "station monitor" scopes were for monitoring modulation specifically. Please explain what hams are monitoring with these. They all have 2 coaxial hook-ups that say "Ant." and "radio". I got the impression that if you fed your signal through these you would be watching modulation on the scope. What are they watching with them?

Seems to be dead on the radio lately. I don't know if the conditions are horrible, or more likely my weak antennas. I may head up in the mountains on Wednesday and see if reception / transmission is improved.
